Kalm Village Chiang Mai

Old City

About

Kalm Village is a free arts, crafts and culture centre in the Old City, on a soi off Phrapokklao Road near Wat Phra Singh, and it's one of the nicest places to spend an hour between temples. The compound holds rotating shows in its Kalm Art Room and the Museum of Makers, where the permanent Kalm Archive displays a collection of textiles, jewellery and silverware. It's a good way to see northern Thai craft presented with real care, rather than stacked on a market stall. There's no charge to walk in, and it's an easy stop right in the middle of things.
