The night market behind Chiang Mai University, known as Lang Mor, is where the students eat, so it's cheap, quick and busy. It sits off Suthep Road. Stalls do basil pork rice, tom yum seafood noodles, pork-leg noodles, pad thai, fried potatoes, roti, longan juice and mango sticky rice. Most stalls are take-away with little seating. I'd arrive around 6pm and join the longest queue.
