Elely Cafe’

Mae Taeng

About

Elely is a rustic, family-run café on the Ping River off Highway 107 in Mae Taeng, and it's really about the animals. The owners have taken in a pack of rescued dogs, dachshunds among them, and two elephants from a zoo that closed during Covid; you can buy bananas to feed them and watch them wander and swim. The coffee, juices, cakes and simple food are good value too. It's a short bumpy track off the main road, and I'd leave a donation for the animals.
