About
Basecamp is where Chiang Mai's trail runners get their coffee. It sits at the foot of Doi Suthep, behind the university on the road up towards the Kalae viewpoint, close to the start of the Monk's (Pilgrim) Trail and the Bamboo Trail. Half of it is a café with indoor and garden seating, the other half an outdoor and running gear shop staffed by people who actually run. If you're heading up the mountain on foot, it's the obvious place to fuel up first, and a good place to ask about the trails.
