Loha Prasat Sri Mueang Pong

Ban Pong · Hang Dong West (Ban Pong / Samoeng Rd)

About

This is the white 'metal castle' on the hill above Ban Pong in Hang Dong: a loha prasat set in the hilltop grounds of Wat Phra That Si Mueang Pong. The white structure wraps around a gold chedi, and from the top you get wide views across the valley. It's roughly 16–20 km from the city, so it's a drive-out rather than a stop on a temple walk, but it pairs easily with the Samoeng Road and Ban Pong cafés. Go for the setting as much as the building.
