InClay Studio runs a pottery workshop for complete beginners, and it's one of the better ways to spend a slow day in town if you like making things. The class covers the basics over about four hours of teaching on a Friday or Saturday, with a lunch break in the middle, and it includes clay, glazes and kiln firing. Your finished pieces are ready about two weeks later, so book early in your trip if you want to collect them. It suits ages eight and up, and no experience is needed.
