Ristr8to Original

Nimman

About

This is where Chiang Mai's latte-art reputation got going. Arnon Thitiprasert opened the shop on Nimman Road in 2011, won Thailand's latte art title three years running, then took the 2017 World Latte Art Championship in Budapest. He has since moved on to his Roast8ry project, but the original bar still runs on careful milk work and a rotating line-up of single origins. The order people come for is the Satan Latte, built with an extra ristretto shot and, according to Time Out, served in a skull glass. The room is small and open to the street with a little terrace, so think of it as a proper coffee stop, not a laptop base.
