KUMBO is a matcha bar on the second floor of the Anusarn Building on Charoen Muang Road, a restored 1934 colonial-style block east of the river that now holds cafés, restaurants and vintage shops. Upstairs it's airy and calm, and you watch the baristas whisk each drink in front of you. There's a range of powders including the house Kumbo blend, plus a hojicha with coconut water that's light and nutty. Locally made homeware and accessories are for sale, so it's easy to leave with more than a latte.
