Asama Coffee & Roastery

Asama is a roastery-café on the edge of a lake inside the private Chiang Mai Lakeland estate, west of the canal road. The owner, Muk, is a judge at Thai barista competitions, and the beans come in light, medium and dark roasts. Signature drinks include Gravity and Espresso on the Rock. The best seats are on the terrace along the water, which runs to a little wooden jetty with a rowing boat. There's air-conditioned seating inside, but I'd sit by the lake in the morning.
